On one hand, each of the grey tabs in the Public Web Pages section represents a preset dynamic page template. They contain features which pull data from other sections of the system; e.g. the Programme page displays an interactive schedule which pulls information about lecture times from the "Programme" section; the Applications page display a table which pulls the information about registration fee types and prices from the "Registration" section, etc.
On the other hand, Static Web Pages are regular pages that show the content formatted in the html editors only, without pulling data from other parts of the system. Note that they do not display the right-hand column with deadlines, call-to-action buttons, widgets, and banners. You can add and edit as many static pages as you need by pressing the green "Pag"button on the Public Web Pages section.
