5. Assigning abstracts to talks

1. In the left hand menu navigate to Programme >> Sessions
2. Use the search bar to find the session to which you would like to assign an abstract. 
3. Click on "Session Talks" (ST) button.
4. You can now click on the (AAA) "Assisted Abstract Assignment" or (DAA) "Direct Abstract Assignment" buttons for the relevant talk.

(DAA) Direct Abstract Assignment

On pressing the DAA button a window will appear where you can type in the ID of the abstract you are going to assign.

On clicking "Confirm" the abstract will be assigned provided that these two conditions are met:

• Abstract status = approved
• Abstract is not assigned to any other session talk 

Once the abstract is successfully assigned, the "Talk Title", "Speaker/presenter" and "Abstract Title" fields will be overwritten with the assigned abstract's details.

Subsequently any edition to the original abstract title will be updated on the programme.

Note: The DAA method is recommended for sessions that do not have a set topic. Consequently if the AAA button is used no abstracts will be returned as this searches for abstracts with the same topic as the session.

(AAA) Assisted Abstract Assignment

On pressing the AAA button, a list of abstracts will appear that meet these three conditions:

• Abstract submitted into the same track and topic as the session
• Abstract status = approved
• Abstract is not assigned to any other session talk

You can then easily assign the abstracts which are eligible for the session by clicking (AA) "Assign Abstract"

Once the abstract is successfully assigned, the "Talk Title", "Speaker/presenter" and "Abstract Title" fields will be overwritten with the assigned abstract's details. 

Subsequently any edition to the original abstract title will be updated on the programme.

Note: The AAA method is not recommended for sessions that have no topic. Consequently, no abstracts will be returned on pressing the (AAA) button, which only returns abstracts with the same topic as the session.
