Notations are unique reference numbers/codes used to identify each abstract, and these can be useful for instance for poster abstracts to determine the order of hanging. Notations can be assigned to abstracts with an approved status only.
Notations are created according to the following formula:
TrackNotation+TopicNotation + '-' + n
Where n is a successive number given according to the abstract entry date; i.e. n=001 for the earliest abstract entry date, n=002 for the next earliest, and so on. Note that earliest means with respect to all abstracts in the track.
Examples of notations can be P for posters or PL for plenary lectures, etc. Track notations are given on Abstracts >> Tracks >> double click on the relevant tracks.
To assign notations to approved abstracts:
- In the left hand menu, navigate to Appraisal >> Notation Assignment
- Select a Track.
- Click "Go".
Heads-up: every time the green Go button is pressed, any existing notations on the selected track will be overwritten with new notations following the above formula.
Once you have it all set up, if you happen to need to assign specific new notations to specific abstracts, you may send through a list with the abstract ids and new notations for each of those abstracts, so they can be updated individually.
